Biografía
Bruce Grinn is an independent musician based in Galicia since his return from England, where he lived from his adolescence and trained as a musician, working as a guitarist in bands in Southampton, Exeter, and Brighton.
Upon his return to Spain in 2011, he formed the acoustic guitar and drums duo The Loopholes, which released several records. Thus, The Loopholes marked the beginning of Bruce’s career as a songwriter and vocalist. In 2017, Bruce began a new project under the stage name Bruce Grinn with the intention of making himself known in the national music scene. It seemed especially difficult and challenging because he did not have a band to reproduce and record the songs. The initial idea was to return to England to record this album, supported by musicians from several bands (Ergo Schmidt, The Yes Men, etc.), but the process became very complicated and he had to abandon the idea. Months later, Miguel (Baixo Miño Studios) joined the project and the ball began to roll. Unfortunately, limitations of time, money, and resources limited the number of songs that could be recorded. “The truth is that it was all very unorthodox.” Finally, Fustian Fumes was recorded at the end of 2017 and the beginning of 2018 at Baixo Miño Studios. Due to the circumstances, Fustian Fumes remains exclusively a studio album.
His follow-up album, Full Instant Rewind, will be released at the beginning of 2026. An album that brings different nuances and is characterised by having a more indie and modern production with lash synthesisers and atmospheric textures. It was also recorded and produced at Baixo Miño Studios by Bruce and Miguel de la Peña.
